Job Summary

Web Design Managers establish the strategic direction for web-related projects and develop the processes by which websites are conceived, planned, developed, launched, and evaluated; set direction for web strategy and user experience.

Representative Duties

  • Identify strategic approaches, changes, and enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of websites, including new features, updated approaches, conversion rate strategy, new functionality or changes to existing functionality, and other improvements that align with marketing plans, business goals, and the changing user requirements
  • Oversee website development roadmap, website content, information architecture and navigation, web usability, technical design, search engine optimization strategy, monitoring and testing of emerging web technologies, performance analysis using web analytics tools, and web policies and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with web policies and accessibility
  • Establish and track key performance indicators based on business goals and marketing strategies
  • Research competition and trends in website strategy, usability, content management, and tracking
  • Identify and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead efforts in communication for strategic web changes as well as technical issues
  • Oversee project management, employee development, workload disbursement, and performance evaluation for staff

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Minimum – $97,100.00
  • MidPoint – $121,400.00
  • Maximum – $145,700.00
