Financial Associate – Intermediate Support (PSU1665)
Job Summary
The Financial Associate processes various financial transactions, adheres to the approved systems of internal control and financial management; may focus work in one area, such as accounts receivable (including student accounting), accounts payable, expense processing, and wage payroll entry and review.
Representative Duties
- Perform student accounting functions; handle inquiries from students, parents, and others; perform daily reconciliation
- Perform non-student receivable functions; prepare invoices and bills; handle customer inquiries
- Perform cash handling functions; manage gift receipts; approve Reports of Cash Receipts; resolve issues and problems related to cash
- Review human resource and wage payroll forms; verify wage form documentation (W-4, I-9, etc.); approve forms based on limited authority granted by Financial Manager
- Review and audit purchasing card transactions; perform reconciliation of auto-posted transactions, troubleshoot issues for departmental reconcilers and cardholders
- Approve purchasing and payment forms and transactions based on limited authority granted by the Financial Manager; resolve billing and payment issues
- Approve Employment Reimbursement System reports based on limited authority granted by the Financial Manager; resolve issues
- Assure inventory systems are properly updated; perform reviews and counts as needed
- Monitor restricted accounts; create/submit forms to establish new restricted accounts; assist in closing accounts; adjust controls as directed
- Perform Pay and Effort functions; submit payroll transfers as required; assist with clearing account
- Manage filing systems to assure documents are retained according to established procedures and retention guidelines

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 5
- Minimum – $38,300.00
- MidPoint – $46,900.00
- Maximum – $55,500.00
