Performing Arts Production Specialist – Intermediate Professional (PSU0065)
Job Summary
The Performing Arts Production Specialist supports the school or visual arts center through the fabrication, installation, and strike of scenery and props necessary for productions; identifies and assesses production needs; and procures materials for the successful operation of performing arts events.
Representative Duties
- Execute the construction and fabrication of set pieces for theatrical productions and events
- Assist in production design including lighting, sound, and stage layout
- Meet with users to review and identify technical needs related to materials, equipment, costumes, etc.
- Coordinate and oversee projects in collaboration with students, faculty, and/or community members
- Assist in the preparation of layouts, specifications, and/or requisitions in accordance with proper theatrical stage, arts venue, or events requirements
- Develop and manage project budgets and timelines; oversee a limited budget
- Generate and update inventory lists related to materials and equipment
- Assist in the maintenance and storage of props and equipment; may transport, assemble, inspect, and install production items
- Ensure compliance with building related laws and regulations, health, safety, and fire codes; maintain safe operation, training, and storage of a variety of machinery and equipment
- May provide technical support to virtual events; utilize broadcasting equipment to support virtual programs
- May teach, supervise, mentor, and coach students and/or part-time workers in the support of productions and performance

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 4
- Minimum – $34,800.00
- MidPoint – $42,600.00
- Maximum – $50,500.00
