Job Summary and Representative Duties
The Endpoint Infrastructure Systems Administrator manages and operates the University's centralized Unified Endpoint Management service; designs, scales, and maintains the cross-platform infrastructure that enables IT units to manage diverse devices through a unified framework; ensures a seamless user experience while enforcing University security standards, automated compliance, and proactive vulnerability remediation across the digital workspace.
- Enhance and maintain the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) ecosystem; manage cross-platform security policies and endpoint protection frameworks
- Design and automate zero-touch provisioning workflows and custom API integrations to streamline device onboarding
- Perform deep-dive root cause analyses on systemic issues; prioritize and respond to incidents by delivering long-term, scalable solutions; provide proactive service optimization
- Curate the enterprise application catalog; establish standards for software packaging; audit submissions for security compliance; review and test utilities, installers, and deployments on targeted platforms
- Collaborate in the development of a University-wide automated patch management strategy; ensure compliance and enforce security baselines; implement threat detection and vulnerability management measures; ensure endpoint management processes comply with University policies and regulations
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation routines to standardize configurations and reduce technical debt
- Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software inconsistencies; test software and operating systems for compatibility; plan and prepare periodic hardware inventory replacement cycles
- Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Manage system changes; notify users of updates, hardware upgrades, and scheduled downtimes
- Provide high-level technical consulting to IT partners; translate complex UEM architecture into actionable guidance and documentation

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 10
- Minimum – $61,800.00
- MidPoint – $75,700.00
