Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist – Principal Professional (PSU0193)
Job Summary
Equal Employment Opportunity Specialists work across the University to direct and oversee functions such as affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, and non-discrimination policies and compliance issues; ensure that all members of the University community are equally able to engage in their educational and occupational pursuits; play a vital role in the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce; explore innovative approaches to achieve the University's mission of supporting diverse communities through teaching, research and service.
Representative Duties
- Collaborate in the development and provide education and training for University employees to foster a climate of respect, responsibility, inclusion, and belonging
- Work with partners in the review, assignment, investigation, and resolution of complaints of discrimination/harassment and reports of bias; draft determination reports
- Advise on and assist in establishing programs to ensure equal opportunity and access
- Ensure new University policies, programs, and procedures adhere to Equal Opportunity Employment (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) principles, and continuously monitor for compliance
- Maintain advanced knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations for upholding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action
- Assist in the review of EEO/AA regulations and compliance functions of the office
- Advise complainants and respondents on resolution of complaints
- Ensure that EEO/AA policies are procedures are implemented and communicated with all employees
- Advise faculty, staff, and administrators on issues of managing diversity, avoiding discrimination complaints, and addressing workplace conflicts

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 13
- Minimum – $86,300.00
- MidPoint – $107,900.00
- Maximum – $129,500.00
