Inventory Control and Distribution Manager – Senior Manager (PSU1507)
Job Summary
Inventory Control and Distribution Managers oversee warehouse operations, inventory functions, the shipping and receiving of goods, ordering inventory items, and/or overseeing a retail operation; communicate with customers, vendors, and other departments to provide information and solve problems; use a variety of systems to prepare and complete transactions, manage inventories, update product information, maintain web pages, and record sales; prepare financial reports; monitor vendor performance and seeks out new distributors; maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Representative Duties
- Provide overall leadership for central distribution services and a warehouse operations
- Ensure cost effectiveness through efficiencies and traceable movement products
- Ensure overall department efficiency through cost containment and enforcement of policies and procedures
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain electronic inventory systems and websites
- Develop and maintain relationships with various University departments, customers, and/or outside organizations
- Evaluate material/services requests, research new products, and analyze market trends
- Adjust operational work schedules to increase work unit efficiencies
- Source, negotiate, and participate in the selection of various service vendors; collaborate on requests for proposals
- Serve as a liaison between Central Distribution/Warehouse Operations and various University departments
- Hire, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate assigned employees

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
