IT Integration Specialist – Senior Professional (PSU1674)

Job Summary

IT Integration Specialists develop and implement solutions integrating applications across the enterprise or its units/departments; evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet University needs.

Representative Duties

  • Develop and deploy integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating the independently designed applications within and across the enterprise
  • Meet with stakeholders to assess business needs, evaluate existing systems, document system requirements, and determine appropriate integrated solutions
  • Determine how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, web interfaces, and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements
  • Prepare specifications for use in the development process; coordinate and review the work of developers or programmers; test deliverables prior to deployment
  • Prepare and communicate project plans, track project progress, control project scope, and facilitate change orders in response to out of scope needs; develop and maintain detailed project documentation
  • Participate in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations
  • Interface with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Develops new techniques, concepts, and approaches and applies them to moderately complex and strategic and/or operational issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
– Indirect supervisor for other full–time employees
– May serve as direct supervisor for part–time, student, and/or temporary workers, volunteers, or a full–time employee
Fiscal Responsibilities:
– May validate and pay invoices
– Monitors and tracks budgets and funding
Problem Solving:
– Encounters moderately complex problems
– Applies specialized knowledge and skills to resolve problems
– Understands benefits, limitations, and impact of potential solutions
Independence of Action:
– Works independently on moderately complex work assignments, reviews progress, and evaluates results

  • Comp Grade – 11
  • Minimum – $68,200.00
  • MidPoint – $85,200.00
  • Maximum – $102,300.00
