IT Workload Automation Analyst – Advanced Professional (PSU1723)
Job Summary
IT Workload Automation Analysts are responsible for developing plans, designing processes, and evaluating technologies needed to ensure that all production schedules and scripts are executed on various server platforms as scheduled; analyze the production job flow, correct anomalies, source code maintenance, maintain job schedules, as well as build, coordinate and implement new and existing batch production jobs and scripts.
Representative Duties
- Design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, document, modify, and support production mainframe and workload automation processes in accordance with area standard practices
- Investigate data and/or program problems, perform root cause analysis, take corrective actions; communicate and escalate degradations, outages, or failures associated with batch services to the responsible service contact and/or incident manager
- Perform daily preventative validity checks by investigating potential batch problems and providing solutions or workarounds for all detected problems
- Review daily production batch schedule to confirm batch jobs executed as scheduled, ensure jobs are scheduled to run in the correct sequence, lead times are adequate, and user requirements are completed
- Process customer scheduling requests and verify the daily schedules; investigate incoming scheduling requests and determine if manual intervention is required
- Collaborate with customers on the necessary job flow and build production schedules
- Develop and execute test cases
- Provide custom workload automation solutions across various databases and applications
- Develop and utilize operational task lists for upgrades and maintenance work, which include documented contingency and back-out plans
- Develop project plans to include stakeholders, requirements, scope, deliverables, tasks, due dates, timeline, risks, budget, and resources
- Work with Infrastructure teams and architects to evaluate and recommend potential tools and software based on current and future needs of the organization

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
