Identity and Access Management Analyst – Professional (PSU2363)
Job Summary
The Identity and Access Management Analyst supports the protection of critical applications, data, and systems from unauthorized access, while managing identities, authentication services, and access rights both inside and outside the University; administers and implements robust security controls, permissions, and practices, following IT security-related objectives; consults with stakeholders and business partners, troubleshooting issues.
Representative Duties
- Support critical university-wide information technology accounts and access systems and services
- Maintain integrity of user identities, ensure authentication and access permissions are appropriately implemented; support the lifecycle of accounts
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation, modification, and deletion; ensure timely and accurate access
- Monitor systems for unusual activities and potential security incidents; generate and analyze reports on user access, authentication logs, and system performance
- Diagnose, research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to user access, authentication failures, and system errors; perform root cause analysis; escalate as necessary
- Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to service owners and end-users
- Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical users; maintain communication and monitor incidents through resolution
- Develop and provide trainings, demonstrations, and regular communication to stakeholders
- Utilize and maintain knowledge articles, white papers, FAQs, and vendor documentation
- Ensure security policies and protocols are being adhered to in all aspects of identity and access management
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure solutions comply with university policies and standards
- Identify and evaluate enhancements to systems and services; recommend solutions to improve services and gather feedback
- Develop and coordinate the execution of user acceptance testing scenarios
- Contribute to documentation of incidents, internal processes and procedures, workflows, and training materials
- May serve as a liaison for development teams, which includes consulting on system design, implementation, and testing of enhancements
- May assist with responding to cybersecurity events

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 7
- Minimum – $46,400.00
- MidPoint – $56,800.00
- Maximum – $67,300.00
