SAP Systems Analyst – Advanced Professional (PSU2416)
Job Summary and Representative Duties
SAP Systems Analysts implement, manage, and optimize SAP solutions, specifically at an enterprise level (i.e. SIMBA); ensure the reliable performance of SAP systems/applications; troubleshoot and resolve system and user issues; participate in projects to gather user requirements; design, configure, test, and implement systems/applications and associated integrations; monitor system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability; coordinate new software fixes and upgrades; recommend new features or changes to configuration/ workflows based on user feedback.
- Configure and customize SAP modules and related components; serve as a liaison between technical staff and user groups
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to ensure SAP solutions meet organizational needs; define and determine scope, objectives, feasibility, and configuration prioritization
- Develop detailed documentation for system configurations, customizations, process flows, and incidents
- Provide ongoing support for SAP applications, including troubleshooting issues and resolving user problems; assist with implementing workarounds when system issues affect operations
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain system performance and security
- Develop and execute test plans and validation, as well as other quality assurance measures; conduct testing such as user acceptance, performance, security, usability, etc.
- Evaluate and implement integration requirements and third-party data needs and processes
- Monitor system functionality and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy; collect user feedback regarding system performance
- Develop and manage reports and dashboards to provide insights into performance and key metrics; ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Participate in and research university-wide initiatives and the impact to system processes
- Lead or participate in projects, including system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations; coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP solutions
- Develop user manuals, training materials, and process documentation to support system adoption and compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls within the SAP solutions
- Maintain relationships with vendors; work with vendors on bug fixes, new features, and proper use of products
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements; recommend solutions to optimize system performance and functionality
- Stay updated on SAP financial system best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00
