Job Summary and Representative Duties

Automation and Integration Specialists manage and enhance the University’s enterprise automation and data integration platforms; are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient workflows and integrations using BMC Control-M and Informatica; collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate business processes, ensure data flow accuracy, and enhance the performance and reliability of University systems; ensure that all production schedules and scripts are executed on various server platforms as scheduled; analyze the production job flow, correct anomalies, source code maintenance, maintain job schedules, as well as build, coordinate, and implement new and existing integrations and workflows.

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise workflows using BMC Control-M Workflow Orchestration

  • Build, maintain, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data integration solutions using Informatica Integration Platform

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure technical solutions

  • Debug, test, and document workflows and integrations throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms to ensure data integrity throughout the ETL process

  • Manage and oversee scheduled jobs, resolving failures or performance issues; provide solutions or workarounds for detected problems

  • Investigate data and/or program problems, perform root cause analysis, take corrective actions; communicate and escalate degradations, outages, or failures associated with batch services to the responsible service contact and/or incident manager

  • Ensure operational issues impacting service quality are escalated, communicated, and/or resolved in an expedient fashion

  • Prepare and maintain disaster recovery procedures, user operations manuals, and other documentation   

  • Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and University policies

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to system architecture, scalability, and performance

  • Collaborate with application owners, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and business systems analysts to support integration needs

  • Implement automation best practices to reduce manual intervention and streamline operations

Salary Structure

  • Minimum – $56,200.00
  • MidPoint – $68,800.00
