Talent Acquisition Specialist – Advanced Professional (PSU0201)
Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners and consults with hiring managers and human resources professionals on all aspects of talent acquisition including the management of recruiting transactions and processes, candidate sourcing, screening, and selection.
Representative Duties
- Process, facilitate, and manage recruiting transactions; review, validate, and update requisition information and candidate data; facilitate the completion of hiring life cycle steps; prioritize and coordinate timely workflows in order to meet posting and hiring deadlines
- Respond to inquires from internal customers via inquiry management system, email, and phone; provide support and consultation to HR partners regarding hiring process, practices, and policies
- Review, update, and post requisitions; develop and revise job description language to attract a high quality, diverse pool of candidates and to accurately describe the duties, skills, and requirements of the position; provide job board recommendations; ensure the requisition language is compliant with guidelines, University policies, and government legislation
- Initiate, monitor, and advise on background checks, clearances or exam requests
- Continually update candidate management and tracking system with appropriate statuses, documents, and approvals; provide assistance to candidates regarding application methods, application status, and issue resolution; generate and review offer letters when appropriate
- Partner with hiring managers on the technical service recruitment process; ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements; screen technical service applicants for requirements; administer job specific tests
- Partner with hiring managers to develop an effective interview and assessment timeline; draft interview questions based on desired candidate qualifications; build candidate scorecards
- Develop sourcing strategies to develop diverse candidate pools; engage with the candidate community through social media posts, relevant job posting sites, and other available networks; review and screen candidate pool, build pipelines, and connect candidates with other job requisitions that align with their skillset
- Provide support and guidance to users related to the recruiting system functionality and processes; participate in testing for new configurations or system improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow effectiveness; contribute to process documentation, projects, and improvement initiatives

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 7
- Minimum – $46,400.00
- MidPoint – $56,800.00
- Maximum – $67,300.00
