Network Administrator – Advanced Professional (PSU1073)
Job Summary
Network Administrators are responsible for daily administration of a network environment; install, configure, and maintain system software; monitors network performance; troubleshoot issues and deploy solutions; plan and implement upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment; maintains a disaster recovery, security, and back up and restoration plan.
Representative Duties
- Develop plans, schedules, and requirements for the deployment of networks
- Plan, develop, and troubleshoot network configurations
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues
- Monitor network performance to evaluate efficient operation and prevent issues
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency by leveraging scripting, automation, or other process improvements
- Research, identify, and recommend new or improved network solutions and technology
- Assist Engineers and Architects in development and testing of current and future service improvements
- Manage, research, and resolve complex user escalation incidents
- Interface with appropriate personnel to resolve service-related issues
- Collaborate with vendors on the implementation of upgrades and/or escalate and troubleshoot complex network issues or problems
- Assist with developing processes and procedures to operate and manage network efficiency
- Create and maintain documentation for preventative maintenance and disaster recovery
- Create and maintain accurate network topology documentation

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00
