Academic Advising Manager – Senior Manager (PSU1185)
Job Summary
The Academic Advising Manager oversees advising programs; directs professional/faculty adviser training; ensure students are equipped to make well-informed academic decisions through assessment of alternatives, use of academic resources, and navigation of University, college, and departmental policies.
Representative Duties
- Direct and provide academic planning and advising for assigned college/campus students; develop and implement assessment plans
- Administer testing, consulting, advising and related programs/services for designated student populations; may be responsible for provisional enrollment programs
- Direct academic advising training and development for faculty and professional advisers
- Direct the creation and appropriate dissemination of changes in program curricula, policies, procedures, and other academic information
- Direct unit assessment; analyze data and recommend policy/procedure modifications; propose process and technology improvements
- Direct recruitment and retention activities
- May teach in accordance with academic unit/campus policies
- May speak on behalf of the unit as prescribed by senior administration; work with peers from across the University to discuss common issues
- May direct strategic planning for the unit
- Provide budget information; assist in forecasting staffing and program resource requirements; exercise established expenditure authorization; may delegate responsibility for developing budgets to lower-level manager(s); ensure accuracy
- Plan and carry out complex assignments; recommend new methods, approaches, and procedures; provide advice and guidance on issues impacting programs and policies

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
