Design and Construction Project Manager – Senior Professional (PSU1730)
Job Summary
The Design and Construction Project Manager provides coordination and management services on a variety of major and minor construction and renovation projects through the entire life cycle of a project, from conceptual development through design, construction, and closeout; reports and makes presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
Representative Duties
- Direct the portfolio of assigned projects regarding scope of work, budget, and timeline
- Manage the selection of design teams, construction contractors, and related consultants and suppliers
- Oversee the progression of project teams and project status; report to stakeholders and leadership
- Set program criteria for projects; establish standards, policies, and procedures
- Manage project budgets including estimate development, value engineering efforts, cost tracking, and review and analysis of change orders
- Mitigate risks associated with design, construction, and schedule delays; develop contingency plans
- Review and maintain safety risk assessment, environmental health and infection control policies (HMC); ensure policies are adhered to by design professionals and construction contractors
- Ensure code compliance and regulations are followed by assigned projects and associate teams
- Oversee and ensure appropriate implementation, operation, evaluation, and adjustment to processes within the organization to ensure that quality standards are achieved
- Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives utilizing appropriate philosophies and theories to solve problems and improve processes
- Monitor market and industry trends to ensure new methods of executing work are investigated and implemented
- Direct work of professional consultants and contractors
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 12
- Minimum – $76,700.00
- MidPoint – $95,900.00
- Maximum – $115,100.00
