Benefits Administrator – Advanced Professional (PSU1822)
Job Summary
Benefits Administrators perform duties related to the benefits programs of the University. This position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.
Representative Duties
- Responsible for administering health & welfare and pension benefit programs across the University in accordance with University policies, programs and processes
- Design, recommend and implement new benefits programs. Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
- Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators
- Manage entire open enrollment process yearly
- Manage retiree process and benefits enrollment
- Negotiate with vendors and administrators for best plans, options and rates
- Ensure programs, policies, and procedures support and enhance the goal of achieving a diverse workforce

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 9
- Minimum – $56,200.00
- MidPoint – $68,800.00
- Maximum – $81,500.00
