Athletic Operations Specialist – Principal Professional (PSU2157)
Job Summary
The Athletic Operations Specialist coordinates operations for a Division I athletic program; acquires, organizes, and analyzes development videos, opponent films, and team statistics; manages program budget; coordinates practice and game times; plans and coordinates all aspects of team travel; serves as a liaison to athletic administration, training staff, sport staff, marketing, and other organizations; plans, organizes and coordinates all logistics of the summer camp program.
Representative Duties
- Oversee operational aspects of Division I athletic programs including staffing, schedules, communication, and other logistics
- Serve as a liaison to athletic administration, compliance, facilities, events, training staff, equipment managers, communications, marketing, and other internal teams
- Coordinate the production, acquisition, distribution, and maintenance of scouting reports, team development videos, opponent films, playbooks, and drill logs
- Perform analysis of practices, games, future opponents, and team/player statistics; provide coaches with reports for review
- Plan and coordinate team travel and recruiting visits; develop itineraries; coordinate transportation and hotel arrangements, meals, practice times and sites, purchases, and staff meeting schedules
- Ensure player and coach compliance with NCAA regulations; monitor student-athlete eligibility; maintain accurate records of student-athlete participation
- Manage program budget as it relates to summer camps, video exchange, recruiting, equipment, and team travel; review and approve invoices; prepare financial reports
- Serve as a point of contact for internal departments such as academic support units and fundraising teams
- Contribute to retention efforts of student athletes; arrange for academic support services; track student progress
- Collaborate with coaches and directors to develop long-term plans for programming, assess effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, develop new strategies
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all logistics of summer camp programs, such as marketing, registration, staff hiring, and camp schedules
- May manage and organize team inventory including uniforms, merchandise, and equipment
- Coordinate team community service activities
- May supervise staff members, students, and part-time employees including hiring, training, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00
