Job Summary

The Employee Training Specialist develops and delivers training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and performance; collaborates with various departments to identify training needs; creates engaging learning materials; ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed.

Representative Duties

  • Design, develop, and revise training materials, resources, and programs to meet the needs of specific employee populations
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtually, on a variety of topics such as policies, compliance, operational processes and procedures, skill building, new technology, customer service, leadership development, and safety
  • Develop documentation, manuals, guides, visual aids, presentations, and course content that support instruction
  • Facilitate the development of different instructional delivery options to meet individualized needs and learning styles
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to assess training needs and identify areas for improvement
  • Support onboarding and new employee engagement processes
  • Provide ongoing support to employees by answering questions and offering additional resources or coaching to reinforce learning
  • Coordinate preparations for unit conferences, seminars, and workshops aimed at employee development
  • Monitor and assess the progress of training programs, gather feedback from participants, and make improvements based on feedback and results
  • Gather and analyze data, generate and prepare reports, and make data informed decisions
  • Ensure that all training programs align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Utilize the University’s learning management system and other tools to track required licensures/certifications, training progress, and deliver online learning content
  • Maintain records of licensures/certifications, training activities, attendance, and employee progress; provide regular reports to management regarding training outcomes
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development; suggest opportunities to enhance learning experiences
  • Foster positive relationships with external partners, organizations, and community stakeholders to enhance programming opportunities and resources; manage vendor relationships
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management
  • May have budgetary oversight

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • MidPoint – $75,700.00
