Instructional Production Specialist – Support (PSU0616)
Job Summary
The Instructional Production Specialist provides administrative, technical, and production support to instructional designers, faculty, and educational technologists; manages, maintains, and updates course information including schedules, assignments, assessments, and learning resources within online management systems; and provides input in the selection and enhancement of learning applications.
Representative Duties
- Execute all administrative, technical, production and project management aspects of repeat, revision, and new course development cycles
- Utilize course management system tools to set-up assessments, assignments, syllabi, drop boxes, course materials, exams, media, links, and learning resources as directed by the Instructional Designer
- Prepare third party educational tools and applications for faculty use
- Facilitate material migrations between systems, permission requests for copyrighted materials, and ensure course accommodations are available
- Provide quality control for course content including graphics, links, and web pages; support instructional design teams with formatting, embedding, and web editing tasks
- Consults with instructors to demonstrate system capabilities and features; provide technical support to faculty and students of online courses; develop and provide training to others on effective use of course tools
- Participate in the development and enhancement of processes and tools used in support of course development
- Identify, research, pilot, evaluate, implement new educational technologies
- May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 3
- Minimum – $31,600.00
- MidPoint – $38,700.00
