Food Services Manager – Senior Manager (PSU1916)
Job Summary
Food Service Managers direct and manage multiple retail and residential food service operations and operational budgets. Managers develop, implement, and oversee strategic planning for new business development; capital and campus projects, including facility construction/renovation; cost containment and revenue growth. Focusing on delivering quality products and services, Food Service Managers develop and monitor operational standardization across locations; ensure regulatory compliance; remain current on food services trends.
Representative Duties
- Direct the overall operation of multiple food service operations; develop and implement strategic plans and University-wide initiatives
- Accountable for the financial success of food service locations, both retail and residential—forecast, plan, develop, and oversee operational budgets; identify cost containment measures and new revenue sources; manage financial statements; negotiate and maintain contracts
- Ensure overall quality product and customer service delivery; research new trends in food services; develop new concepts and product mix
- Keep abreast of regulatory requirements; develop operational changes, policies, and procedures; establish standards; ensure compliance
- Investigate and resolve problems related to internal and external customer service, product quality, and personnel performance
- Oversee special capital and campus projects such as new construction and renovation; select architects and product service providers
- Develop, implement, and enhance a student-centered work environment; meet with a variety of groups to communicate goals and objectives
- Hire, train, coach, supervise, schedule, and evaluate employees; recommend, plan, and coordinate professional development opportunities; adhere to Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions; participate in grievance/arbitration proceedings

Salary Structure
- Comp Grade – 11
- Minimum – $68,200.00
- MidPoint – $85,200.00
- Maximum – $102,300.00

10+ years of relevant experience, includes 3+ years of supervisory experience
